Second Saturday Classes at Brunk Return!

There will be a blacksmithing class available September 14th, 2024. Currently, our normal registration system is having technical issues. To register for the classes, please email pchsoregon@gmail.com to inform us of your interest in the class. Then, please use this PayPal link to send us the class fee. You may also pay in person at the Museum, or send a check to Polk County Historical Society, PO Box 67, Monmouth, OR 97361. 


Join David Gibbons for "Introductory Blacksmithing" at the historic Brunk Farmstead.  After learning basic skills, you will produce a simple item to take home.  This is an introductory class only, designed for those taking the class for the first time. Close-toe shoes and long pants required. No synthetic clothing. All materials and safety glasses are furnished. Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, who will also need to register. No students under 14. The class will be from 12 pm to 3 pm.

$65 per parent/student duo
